The Child & Family Practice offers comprehensive, thorough supports to school communities in order to help them best serve their students, families, and staff.

Our background in school and clinical psychology and educational development drives our commitment to provide our schools with outstanding services consistent with Best Practices. We provide services in the following areas: 


TESTING & Evaluation 

We conduct psycho-educational, clinical, neuropsychological, ADHD, and behavioral assessment, as well as assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder and adaptive functioning.
 

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING

We work with school staff to provide training in relevant academic and developmental topics such as behavioral management for challenging students, school-wide and classroom behavior management, implementation of executive functioning supports in the classroom, prevention of and response to bullying, and management of learning disabilities. We are also able to customize trainings based on the needs of the school.  


GROUPS 

Our professionals are able to implement therapeutic groups into school settings, including groups on executive functioning, social skills development, and kindergarten readiness, among others. 


PARENT WORK 

Professionals at The Child & Family Practice of Washington, DC have extensive experience conducting parent trainings and support groups on topics such as discipline, divorce, supporting children with emotional / behavioral concerns, mindfulness, and supporting academic development at home.
