SPACE

Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) is an evidence-based intervention developed by Dr. Eli Lebowitz at The Yale Child Study Center. It is a parent focus program that is designed to help parents manage anxious symptoms in children and adolescents. At The Child & Family Practice of Washington, DC, our SPACE program is delivered in a group format by our officially trained SPACE provider, Dr. Laura Frazee, a clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of anxiety and mood disorders in children and adolescents.  Space treatment is usually delivered in eight, 75-minute sessions. Sessions are typically virtual though your provider will discuss occasional in-person meetings as an option, though tuning-in virtually will be a choice for each session.
